Mind-Body Exercise: Improve Posture, Flexibility & Strength with Pilates

1–2 minutes

LEVELLING UP YOUR FITNESS REGIME WITH PILATES

Pilates is a mind-body exercise, connecting movement to breathing. It aims to improve posture, balance, core and muscular strength and flexibility. In every class, I aim to get a blend of controlled poses improving your balance and stability, as well as strengthening exercises not only for the core but targeting the whole-body too. Stretching is also a huge component to my classes, with the aim to always finish in a relaxed state for both mind & body.

My tiered approach to each exercise allows everyone to work at their own level in a supportive environment, making it a perfect form of low impact exercise that can be tailored for beginners to elite level athletes.

By regularly attending Pilates, you will see benefits in:

✨ Improved posture

✨ Improved joint mobility & stability

✨ Increases in core strength

✨ Increased flexibility & strength of muscles

✨ Better balance & coordination

✨ Increases in physical & emotional health

What have others said:

“I’ve never done Pilates before so attended Abbie’s class as a trial. Have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I found Abbie’s instruction really clear and easy to follow as she guided us through a full body workout. I would wholeheartedly recommend her class to anyone.”

“Abbie’s Pilates classes are excellent. Well structured, clear instruction and the opportunity to work at your own level. Definitely felt each muscle group was worked. Abbie made it fun with plenty of encouragement. Always enjoyable and love attending”

Pilates is a great form of exercise and certainly compliments other sporting activities, such as running, cycling, strength/weight training, the list is endless, but, also functional everyday activities. The typical saying, the stronger your core, the stronger all other movements patterns will become. Fancy giving a class a go and levelling up your fitness routine?
