8 MOOD BOOSTERS TO IMPROVE ENERGY LEVELS & FOCUS THROUGHOUT THE DAY
Gifting yourself time throughout the day away from your screen, desk, phone etc. not only allows you to regain clarity and focus, it also helps boost productivity. That does not mean finding 30 plus minutes out of your day, which sometimes can feel a lot. Anything up to a little as 10 minutes is hugely beneficial. As the typical saying goes, it only has to be little and often!
Below are 8 go to activities, that take 10 minutes or less to boost MOOD, ENERGY and FOCUS:
- Going for a walk
- Stretching on a mat
- Putting on your favourite song and maybe even dancing to it
- Read a book
- Do a mindfulness or meditation track
- Journal your thoughts
- Make yourself a drink (tea, coffee, water etc.) and drink it away from your screen/phone
- Sit outside (perhaps when it’s not raining) and listen to surrounding bird sounds
Trying to integrate time for these into your daily routine can feel challenging. Why not try setting an alarm or a reminder on your phone, giving you that visual reminder, or scheduling 10 minute breaks into your work diary/calendar, for example, either after meetings, or as a minimum, ensuring you are taking a lunch break.
The more you start to make it part of your routine and noticing the benefits of taking little breaks throughout the day, it will start to become part of your lifestyle, and increase your energy, focus and overall wellbeing!
